I've always liked cooking, but I LOVE Baking! Sad to say I never went to school for it but that didn't stop me from making the cakes that I want! With each cake I learn Something new. My first FONDANT cake was about a year ago! My Boss turned "40" and even though that shouldn't be considered over the hill, I thought it would be Funny to make him an over the hill cake and decorate his entire office! When I say decorate, I mean decorate :) we did everything over the hill from a blow up Toilet instead of his Executive desk chair, to a basket full of Depends, Geritol, Soft Foods, Laxatives... etc. It was really funny! I need to find some pictures so that I can post!
I enjoyed making his cake so much that, I continued to make them and the more I made the better I got! So I guess my point is that if you can't go to a culinary school to learn how to make cakes! That's fine because you can still make great cakes! That's if you love baking of course.
